Pineknob a good place to catch an outdoor show
and far enough from the rubble of downtown Detroit.
I was there when they opened 2nd Set with T. Stones
This show probably gets overshadowed by Veneta 72 plus in general 1980 tends to be known for Radio City Music hall shows and that Fall tour.
This is a decent show. Nice Althea and crisp Stranger to close set one. China>Rider is hot!
C.C. Rider really did not need to be in the Second Set but here it kinda serves to loosen things up.
Jerry drops in a rare in any set 'High Time'
WE COULD HAVE US A HIGH TIME
LIVING THE GOOD LIFE...
then it's on for the Estimated >Eyes.
Drumz>Space>NFA>Stella
There is a lot of music!!!
Miracle>Berth>Good Lovin' somewhat overplayed
but a good placement for that trio of tunes here
closing out Set Two.

Amazing music the band fired on all cylinders this show ! Three sets were played . Danced by bones off with many others on the lawn. We were surprised to see two hot air balloons fly over the concert in the late afternoon . Bobby pointed them out and crowd roared. Thank You Charlie for the recording !

CC Rider was played 127 times, but only 10 in the second set - three times after this and then it was solely a first set song.

The first of the "speedy" eyes that I recall hearing. Not a fan.

Check out Tennessee Jed "drink all day and rock all night' Can tell jerry had that little extra, also On Know you rider. I wish was a head light. We all know he always yells I wish was headlight but here he Growls like the red rocks werewolves in 78. Quality is not best but still a fun listen.

Nice sound to this summer gem..I love the high energy close of the 1st set with Big RR Blues & Stranger..it continues into a solid well played 2nd set with a strange placement of CC Rider after a smoking China>Rider..and Miracle>Bertha>Good Lovin to end a hell of a set..with the summer classic encore of US Blues..I've listened a couple times now to this show and have really enjoyed it..so please GIVE IT A WHIRL!!! Forever Grateful>Forever Dead!!!!

This version is gorgeous. The harmonies are bang on (post Donna era). Overall, this is a surprisingly good show and well worth a listen.
